Arizona Blue Sky Flyers

November 15, 2008 Airlift To The Navajo Nation

Well, Greg and Dick McColly outdid themselves on this year's airlift.  A record 26 aircraft made the trip hauling a few thousand pounds of donated clothing food and toys for the Navajo nation.  We also need to acknowledge Greg and Dick for ordering up such beautiful weather.  It was nice and smooth with a light headwind on the way up but a nice tail wind on the way back.  As usual, the Navajos were very grateful for all the donations and treated us to a great breakfast at the Inn across the highway.  The traffic even stopped on the highway to let us all cross to get to the restaurant.

This year's Air Lift was dedicated in the honor of Betty McColley who was a fixture at the airlift from the beginning.

Take a look at some of the photos.  It was a beautiful day and a great bunch of people.
